Pitch Predict is a pitch-tracking and pitch-calling app for youth softball and baseball coaches, operated by Walter Jones (Jones Web Designs). This policy explains what the app stores and why.
What we store
- Your account. Your email address and, if you give it, your name. If you sign up with email we store a salted, hashed password (never the password itself). If you use Sign in with Apple we store Apple's anonymous user identifier and whatever email Apple shares (which may be a private relay address).
- What you log. The teams, rosters (jersey numbers, and names if you enter them), games, and pitches you record. This is what lets the app call pitches from a batter's history and keep your games on every device you sign in on.
- Lineup pictures. When you choose a photo or screenshot of a lineup, it is sent to an AI model (through Vercel's AI Gateway, using Google Gemini or OpenAI) only to read the jersey numbers and names. The picture is not saved by Pitch Predict, and you review the result before anything is added.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad trackers, and no analytics SDKs in the app.
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
- Pitch calls are computed on your device; your game data is not used to train AI models.
Where it lives
Everything you log is saved on your device first, so the app works without a signal, and then synced to our database (Neon Postgres, hosted in the United States) over an encrypted connection. The app is served by Vercel.
Players' information
Coaches may enter player names and jersey numbers. We recommend jersey numbers and first names or initials only. Pitch Predict is a tool for coaches and is not directed to children; players do not use the app or create accounts.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Settings → Delete account. That permanently deletes your account and every team, game and pitch saved to it, on every device. Signing out removes the data from that device only. You can also email us to request deletion.
